Meet your Doctor

My fascination with skincare and makeup began when I was a little girl admiring the display of cosmetics on my mom’s bathroom vanity. She taught me the importance of self care and skincare.

I stumbled into the world on Aesthetic Medicine c0mpletely by chance in 2008, in Las Vegas of all places. A friend of mine recommended “painless laser hair removal” there, and after trying it, I could not believe that the majority of people experience the pain of regular painful laser hair removal. So, began my research in laser and energy based device technology, and much of the un-truth that goes into device marketing. I felt a desire to spread awareness that more comfortable options exist and I wanted to be one of the first clinics to bring comfortable laser hair removal to my home town. Voila, together with my business partner, we opened our first laser center in 2009.

My first specialty, in Radiology is invaluable in my 3 dimensional understanding of anatomy as well as the evolving field of facial imaging and facial mapping with Ultrasound to improve injection safety. The scope of my interests encompasses injectable treatments, laser and energy based devices combined with skin restoration to create dramatically beautiful and subtle facial enhancements.

Every year I sharpen my skills by learning from the world’s top experts in fields of plastic surgery, anatomy and cosmetic dermatology. I feel very lucky to be able to learn from the very best. The highlight so far has been the opportunity to learn from world renowned dermatologist, Dr. Zein Obagi, MD.

My academic journey includes a Bachelor of Science Degree in Cellular, Molecular and Microbial Biology, 4 years of medical school, 1 year of Internal Medicine Internship, 4 years of Diagnostic Imaging Residency, and a year long Breast Imaging Fellowship, (that was cut short to 6 months because I was ready and promoted to become staff).

I have been an associate clinical professor at Yale University and the University of Calgary where I taught extensively and was a member of the residency selection & training committee. My love for teaching inspired me to start a YouTube channel, where I share my knowledge and passion for skin and aesthetics with my growing community. You’re welcome to subscribe and join us!
